New Car Preparation Detail
Even brand new cars can pick up contaminants and damage during transport, storage, and dealership prep. At Finer Details, our New Car Protection Detail package is designed to give your vehicle the best possible start.
We begin with a thorough multi-stage wash to decontaminate the paintwork, removing iron, tar, and glue residue from transport film, followed by a clay bar treatment to lift any remaining contaminants. After removing the wheels for inspection, we perform a single-stage machine polish to boost the paintwork’s gloss and clarity, while also correcting any swirls or minor defects. The entire vehicle is then wiped down with isopropyl alcohol to ensure the paint is perfectly clean and ready for our Titan Coatings Accredited Ceramic Coatings, which we apply to all areas, including the paintwork, glass, wheels, calipers, and exhaust tips. Prices for this service start from £700.

Wash & Decontamination Process

- Wheels cleansed inside and out, including brake calipers
- Arches degreased and cleaned
- Door shuts and sills cleansed using soft brushes and APC
- Snow foam applied to bodywork and rinsed
- Safe two-bucket contact wash
- Iron fallout remover applied to all paintwork
- Tar remover used to eliminate tar and adhesive residue
- Clay bar treatment to paintwork, glass, and lights
- Vehicle air dried and towel dried
Machine Polishing & Paint Enhancement
- Delicate areas masked using low-tack automotive tape
- Single-stage machine polish to maximise gloss and depth
- Removal of dealer-induced marring, holograms, and light imperfections
- Paintwork wiped down with IPA to ensure a perfectly clean surface before protection
Finishing Touches
- Tyres dressed
- Exterior plastic and rubber trims dressed
- Engine bay cleansed and dressed
- Final detailing of panel gaps and edges prior to handover
